Our catering is designed to enhance the atmosphere and identity of each event, ensuring guests feel immersed from arrival to the last course. Across 48,240 guests and 89 Christmas events, we delivered tailored experiences across London’s most iconic venues.
At 60 Great Queen Street, we catered two distinct Christmas parties running concurrently in separate event spaces. In The Gatsby Club in the Gallery, guests enjoyed a glamorous, high-energy celebration inspired by the Roaring Twenties, supported by elegant canapés and fluid service designed for dancing and socialising. In the Temple, a separate Masquerade Feast unfolded, beginning with refined canapés before guests sat down to a sumptuous two-course dinner and decadent dessert, delivered in true Venetian style. Each event was individually designed to suit its space, audience and atmosphere.
At Evolution London, we exclusively catered large-scale Christmas parties with a bold New York, New York twist. Guests enjoyed playful yet premium dishes including New York hot dog canapés with Frenchie’s mustard, Reuben cheese and beef toasties, London-cured smoked salmon bagels with whipped chive crème fraîche, and nostalgic cookies-and-cream desserts. Inclusive menu options were available throughout, including vegetarian, vegan and allergen-conscious dishes, alongside low and no alcohol drinks and bespoke mocktails. Clients included McLaren, Warner Bros and EDF Energy.
We also delivered Christmas parties across our accredited venues including Control Room A, Landing Forty Two, St Paul’s, Guildhall and the V&A, tailoring menus and service styles to suit each venue’s character. At Magazine London, our Urban Funfair experience combined funfair-inspired canapés, a two-course seated dinner and an interactive dessert station to keep guests engaged throughout the evening.
Delivering seamless service during the Christmas peak requires experience, planning and teamwork. Across 89 festive celebrations in November and December, our teams delivered smooth, professional service under intense pressure.
Every event is planned collaboratively, with sales, planning, kitchen and operations teams aligned from the outset. This ensures clarity on guest numbers, timings, service style and logistics, which is particularly important when delivering multiple events simultaneously across large or complex venues.
At 60 Great Queen Street, two distinct parties ran side by side, each with its own service model, kitchen coordination and front-of-house team. Detailed run sheets, clear communication and strong on-site leadership ensured both events were delivered flawlessly without crossover or compromise.
At Evolution London, catering at scale required carefully timed service waves, confident front-of-house teams and well-planned guest flow. Staff were fully briefed on menus, dietary requirements and drinks offerings, including low and no alcohol options, enabling them to guide guests with confidence and warmth.
At Magazine London and across our accredited venues, teams transitioned guests smoothly between reception, dining and interactive elements, maintaining pace and atmosphere throughout the evening.
Even during December, when we delivered 71 Christmas events in a single month, our teams remained calm, adaptable and detail-focused, giving clients confidence and guests a polished, enjoyable experience.
Maintaining consistently high quality and presentation during peak season requires discipline, expertise and clear standards. Across 48,240 guests, we delivered food that was generous, well-executed and visually appealing.
Menus were designed specifically for each venue and service style, ensuring dishes travelled well, held temperature and maintained presentation at scale. Inclusive options were built into every menu, with vegetarian, vegan and allergen-aware dishes receiving the same creativity and attention as all other courses. Drinks menus were equally considered, with low and no alcohol cocktails and mocktails presented with the same care as alcoholic serves.
At 60 Great Queen Street, the presentation reflected the tone of each event, from elegant canapés at the Gatsby Club to refined plated courses for the Masquerade dinner. At Evolution London, familiar New York-inspired dishes were elevated through thoughtful styling, ensuring they felt premium despite high volume.
At Magazine London, funfair-inspired canapés delivered colour and nostalgia, while seated courses and the interactive dessert station added visual theatre and impact.
Quality control was maintained through experienced kitchen leadership, clear specifications and checks at every stage. Even during peak December delivery, including 37 seated dinners, every plate met the same standard from first guest served to last.
Sustainability is embedded into how we plan and deliver Christmas events, with initiatives that actively involve our clients.
A key element is our optional Green Levy, added to every booking at 50p per guest, offering a simple and transparent way to support positive change. During the festive period, the Green Levy was added to 14 Christmas events, covering 13,010 guests and raising £6,505.
We have pledged to donate £6,000 to City Harvest, our new charity partner for 2025. This donation will be doubled through the Big Give Christmas Challenge, resulting in £12,000 donated and 36,000 meals provided to people in need across London, directly driven by our clients’ Christmas celebrations.
Alongside this, menus are planned with seasonality, portion control and waste reduction in mind, ensuring festive indulgence is delivered responsibly without compromising quality or guest experience.
Events shouldn’t cost the earth.
With over 40 years’ experience in the events industry, Moving Venue is one of London’s most established and trusted caterers, delivering creativity, confidence and consistency at scale. In November and December alone, we delivered 89 festive events for over 48,000 guests, across 40 standing receptions and 49 seated dinners, at some of the capital’s most prestigious venues.
Our mission is to set the standard for catering at London’s most iconic and unique spaces. This is driven by our core values of being passionate, agile and experienced, supported by innovation, ambition and responsibility. While our scale is significant, we approach every event with the same care, enthusiasm and attention to detail as our first.
A defining strength is our deep, proactive partnerships with venues. Working closely with teams at Evolution London, Magazine London, 60 Great Queen Street and Illuminate, we collaborate early to design themed Christmas experiences that enhance each space. This close alignment allows us to deliver ambitious concepts, often simultaneously across multiple event spaces, with confidence and precision.
Our agility enables us to respond quickly to complex briefs and peak-season pressure, while our experience ensures calm, polished delivery. Inclusive menus, low and no alcohol drinks and thoughtful service are embedded as standard, ensuring every guest feels considered.
We believe celebration should have purpose. Through our Green Levy, Christmas events helped fund 36,000 meals for Londoners in need via our partnership with City Harvest.
Beyond client events, we proudly champion our industry. Each January, we cater for over 2,000 venue partners, suppliers and competitors at Hospitality Rocks, the only Christmas party created exclusively for the events and hospitality community. Hosting our peers reflects the trust we have built over four decades and our commitment to the sector’s future.
