Creativity, Style & Theme (Max 300 words)

For this year’s festive season, our creative concept was inspired by The Chronicles of Narnia, transforming our iconic spaces into a winter wonderland that felt both theatrical and elegant.

The experience began the moment guests arrived. Rather than a traditional reception to dining transition, we designed an immersive journey, guiding guests through a bespoke “wardrobe” installation that acted as a portal into Narnia itself. This walk through moment created a sense of anticipation and surprise, seamlessly transporting guests from the reception space into the Assembly Hall, where they were met with snow inspired lighting, atmospheric decor, and themed centrepieces.

Stylistically, the theme balanced festive magic with refinement. Subtle lighting effects, star cloth backdrops, and carefully considered decor enhanced the architectural beauty of the venue without overwhelming it.

Because of our unique ability to use scale, logistics, and flow creatively. Our spaces allow us to deliver immersive concepts at a level that feels effortless for guests, while remaining operationally smooth behind the scenes, ensuring a festive experience that is memorable and distinctly Church House.

Atmosphere & Guest Experience (Max 300 words)

For us, creating a memorable atmosphere starts with respecting the character of the building while thoughtfully enhancing it for the season. Our Grade II listed spaces already carry a sense of occasion, so our approach is about layering warmth, light and festive detail rather than overpowering the architecture.
Again decor is carefully selected to complement our spaces, from subtle styling in arrival areas to more immersive theming in our larger event rooms. Lighting plays a key role in shaping the mood, with soft washes, feature lighting and star cloths used to create warmth, depth and a sense of celebration as the evening progresses. Music is equally important, whether that’s background playlists during receptions or DJs later in the night to lift the energy and encourage guests to stay and enjoy the moment.
What truly elevates the experience is flow. From arrival drinks through to dining and entertainment, our team focuses on smooth transitions and intuitive layouts that work, so guests feel relaxed, engaged and looked after throughout the event. The result is a atmosphere that feels welcoming and genuinely enjoyable.
